Chainsaw-Wielding Thief Steals $12K Worth of Pokémon Cards From Florida Store
-

A Florida man has been arrested after allegedly stealing around $12,000 worth of Pokémon cards from a collectibles store by using a chainsaw to cut through hurricane-proof windows. The bizarre break-in happened at Collection Realm in Lake Park, Florida, where surveillance footage reportedly showed the suspect first trying to smash the reinforced glass with a rock before switching to a chainsaw when the window wouldn’t break.Police identified the suspect as 33-year-old Clayton Warren after security cameras captured his vehicle leaving the scene. Authorities later tracked the vehicle to a West Palm Beach address, where Warren was arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft. Investigators say the stolen haul included valuable sleeved singles and bulk Pokémon cards.
The incident highlights the growing black-market value of Pokémon cards as rare collectibles continue surging in price. High-profile thefts targeting card shops have become increasingly common in recent years, with some rare cards now selling for hundreds or even thousands of dollars individually.
