Crimson Desert's Latest Update Expands Boss Rematches and Adds New Combat Skills
-

Pearl Abyss dropped another update for Crimson Desert on May 15, and it continues the studio's impressive track record of listening to its playerbase and acting fast. The headline addition is a major expansion to the Rematch feature, which was only introduced a couple of weeks ago. More bosses are now available to challenge again, including several that were originally encountered in the Abyss — though those fights have been relocated to land-based arenas. Bosses now eligible for rematch include Muskan at Bonepit, Corrupted Caliburn at Fort Musket, Goyen at Spire of the Sun, and others, with locations trackable through the Journal's Memory Fragments section. As always, any consumables used during a rematch are fully refunded afterward, so there's no risk in going all out.On the combat side, Pearl Abyss also addressed one of the more common complaints from players — that switching away from the main character Kliff felt underwhelming due to the limited skillsets of the other playable characters.
That gap is closing with this update. Damiane now has access to a new set of unarmed combat skills found under the "Fists" section of the skill menu, and both Damiane and Oongka can now perform an Aerial Stab move. Kliff also gets a small bonus with the addition of Blinding Flash Finisher while fighting unarmed. The update rounds things out with bug fixes across combat, UI, graphics, and quests, including a fix for an AMD GPU crash tied to driver version 26.5.1.
