Fortnite Disables Llama Riding and Shoulder Riding Due to a Size-Altering Bug
-

Epic Games has temporarily disabled both Llama Riding and Shoulder Riding in Fortnite after players discovered an exploit tied to the llama riding mechanic that causes character models to drastically change size, either shrinking players down or inflating them to giant proportions mid-game. The developer confirmed on its official support account that it is investigating the issue, though no timeline has been given for when the features will be restored. Llama riding was introduced just over a month ago as part of Fortnite's April Fool's update, which also brought a temporary big head mode and finger guns to the game. While most of that event's content was removed after the single-day celebration, llama riding and shoulder riding were kept permanently due to their popularity with the player base — making the current temporary removal a noticeable absence for fans who have grown attached to the new movement options.
The bug arrives in the middle of an otherwise packed Chapter 7 Season 2, which has been one of Fortnite's more content-heavy seasons in recent memory. The season launched with a Game of Thrones crossover as its central theme, brought sweeping map changes, and marked the long-awaited moment when Save the World officially went free-to-play after nine years as a paid mode. Recent crossover additions include a Ben 10 collaboration featuring skins for Ben, Gwen, and several of Ben's alien transformations, and leaks are pointing toward an upcoming Overwatch crossover with Mercy, D.Va, Tracer, and Genji skins in the pipeline. Epic Games has not commented on whether the size bug affects any other mechanics beyond riding, but players can expect an update once the investigation concludes.
