Hyperbridge Recovery Plan and What It Means for Users
-

Following the exploit, Hyperbridge has outlined a long-term recovery strategy, prioritizing asset recovery before compensation. A portion of the stolen funds has already been traced to Binance, with ongoing coordination involving compliance teams and law enforcement to potentially freeze and recover assets.
The team warned that recovery efforts could take months or even up to a year. If those efforts fall short, affected users will be compensated using BRIDGE tokens, with a formal distribution plan expected by April 2027. Hyperbridge emphasized that delaying token compensation helps preserve value, rather than diluting it prematurely while recovery efforts are still underway.
In the meantime, the Token Gateway remains paused until a full fix is implemented, independently audited, and reinforced with additional safeguards. The coming months will be critical in determining whether the project can regain trust and recover meaningful funds after one of its most significant security incidents.
