Adobe Launches Firefly AI Assistant to Transform Creative Workflows
-

Adobe is officially launching its Firefly AI Assistant, bringing its previously teased “Project Moonlight” into a powerful, unified tool across its creative ecosystem. The assistant will work across apps like Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, and Lightroom, allowing users to describe what they want and have the AI execute complex tasks automatically.
What makes this assistant stand out is its ability to orchestrate workflows across multiple apps, not just generate content. It can suggest edits, automate multi-step processes, and even adapt assets for different platforms using built-in “skills.” At the same time, users remain in control, with options to tweak outputs using prompts, sliders, and manual adjustments.
Adobe’s goal is to reduce the complexity of its vast toolset by turning it into a more intuitive, AI-driven experience. As competition grows from platforms like Canva and Figma, Firefly AI Assistant positions Adobe to lead in “agentic” creative workflows—where AI doesn’t just assist, but actively collaborates in the creative process.
