Apple Exploring Multiple Designs for Future Smart Glasses
-

Apple is reportedly testing four different design concepts for its upcoming smart glasses, with a potential launch targeted for 2027. According to reports from Mark Gurman, the company is experimenting with a variety of frame styles, including rectangular and oval shapes in both large and compact sizes, along with color options like black, ocean blue, and light brown.
Unlike the more advanced mixed-reality ambitions seen with the Apple Vision Pro, these glasses are expected to be more practical and lightweight. They may focus on everyday features such as taking photos, playing music, answering calls, and interacting with Siri—putting them in closer competition with simpler smart eyewear like Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses rather than full AR headsets.
