Telegram Founder Warns of Hidden Privacy Risk

Pavel Durov has warned that push notifications may be a major privacy vulnerability, allowing sensitive data to be accessed even after apps or messages are deleted. His comments follow reports that investigators retrieved Signal messages through notification logs on iPhones.
The concern is that encryption alone isn’t enough if metadata and system-level logs remain accessible. According to Durov, users may still be exposed—even if they disable previews—because privacy depends on how all participants manage their settings.
