Most Americans Fear AI’s Impact on Jobs and Society Despite Growing Usage
-

While AI tools are becoming more common, public sentiment remains largely negative. A majority of Americans believe AI will do more harm than good in their daily lives, and around 70% expect it to reduce job opportunities. Concerns are especially strong among younger generations, who are both the most familiar with AI and the most pessimistic about its impact.
At the same time, many people feel that companies and governments are not doing enough to ensure transparency and regulation. This combination of rapid adoption, rising concern, and low trust suggests that the future of AI will depend not only on innovation—but also on how responsibly it is managed.
