Argentina Orders Nationwide Block of Polymarket

A court in Argentina has ordered a nationwide block of crypto-based prediction platform Polymarket over allegations of unauthorized gambling.

The ruling, issued on March 11 by a Buenos Aires court, directs the country’s communications regulator Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) to restrict access to the platform across all internet providers.

Authorities are investigating Polymarket under Argentina’s Criminal Code, claiming it offered gambling services without proper authorization. The court also instructed regulators to report any technical issues preventing full enforcement of the ban.
