VeryAI Raises $10M to Launch Palm-Scan Identity Verification on Solana
-

Startup VeryAI has raised $10 million in a seed funding round led by Polychain Capital to develop a palm-scan identity verification system designed to detect real users and prevent AI-generated accounts. The platform records identity attestations on the Solana blockchain and uses zero-knowledge proofs so users can verify their authenticity across platforms without revealing personal information. Instead of storing images, the system converts palm scans into encrypted biometric signatures, making it impossible to reconstruct the original data.
The technology aims to help crypto exchanges, fintech companies, and online platforms combat growing threats from bots, deepfakes, and synthetic identities. Investors in the round included the Berggruen Institute and Anagram, with Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana, joining as an angel investor. As AI-generated identities become more sophisticated, developers say blockchain-based proof-of-human systems could play a crucial role in restoring trust in online interactions.
