Amazon is expanding the personality options for its AI assistant Alexa+ with a brand-new “Sassy” mode designed specifically for adult users. The new style joins existing personalities like Brief, Chill, and Sweet, but it stands out by delivering answers with humor, sarcasm, and playful roasts. Before enabling the feature, users must pass extra security checks in the Alexa app, and it will not be available when Amazon Kids is turned on.

According to Amazon, the Sassy personality mixes helpful responses with witty commentary, offering “reality checks delivered with charm” and sharp humor. While the style may include explicit language or mature subject matter, the assistant still follows strict guidelines and avoids harmful or inappropriate topics such as illegal activity, hate speech, or explicit sexual content.
