Gemini in Chrome Gets Smarter With Gmail, YouTube, and AI Image Tools

With its expanded rollout, Gemini inside Google Chrome can now connect with multiple Google services to provide more personalized answers. The assistant can access tools like Gmail, Google Drive, Google Maps, Google Calendar, and YouTube, allowing users to compose emails, summarize videos with timestamps, or schedule meetings directly from the browser sidebar.

The integration also supports image transformations using Google’s generative AI tool Nano Banana 2. For example, users can upload a photo of a room while shopping online and ask Gemini to visualize how furniture would look in the space. While Google has introduced advanced agentic AI capabilities in the U.S., those features are not yet included in the latest rollout to India, Canada, or New Zealand.
