Google Expands Gemini AI in Chrome to New Global Regions

Google has expanded its Gemini integration in Google Chrome to new regions, including India, Canada, and New Zealand. The feature allows users to access Gemini through a sidebar on desktop, where they can ask questions about on-screen content, summarize pages, and even compare information across multiple browser tabs.

As part of the rollout, Gemini will also support additional languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Telugu, and Tamil alongside English. Users will see a new “Ask Gemini” icon on the Chrome tab bar, enabling them to quickly activate the AI assistant to analyze web pages, generate quizzes for learning, or help with research without leaving their current tab.
