Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred Expands Torment Levels to 12
-

Blizzard has confirmed that the upcoming Diablo 4 will increase Torment levels from 4 to 12, dramatically changing the endgame difficulty curve. Torment levels are unlocked after reaching Level 60 and beating Tier 20 of The Pit, boosting enemy challenge while increasing XP and gold rewards.
According to Diablo 4 Associate Game Director Zaven Haroutunian, the expansion aims to make more content viable across the game, allowing all activities to scale competitively rather than forcing players to grind the same few tasks. However, fans have expressed concerns on Reddit that the change could split the player base, as players can only join others on the same Torment tier.
The Lord of Hatred expansion is set to release on April 28, 2026, and will also introduce a new Warlock class, offering fresh endgame opportunities for players.

Diablo 3 had 16 Torment levels and it worked fine, hope they balance it better this time
