ETH Insider Sales Keep Pressure on Ethereum Price
-

Recent high-profile insider sales are amplifying Ethereum’s struggles to maintain the $2,000 support level. In addition to Jeffrey Wilcke’s $157M ETH transfer to Kraken, Vitalik Buterin sold 17,196 ETH in February, exceeding his planned liquidation to fund open-source and biotech projects.
These moves, combined with macroeconomic headwinds, have contributed to ETH’s 34% decline since the start of 2026, with prices hovering around $1,944. On decentralized prediction market Polymarket, bettors assign a 67% chance ETH could fall further to $1,800.
