Grok’s Brutal Roasts of Political Leaders Ignite Global Controversy
-

Grok, the AI chatbot developed by xAI, has stirred controversy after responding to user prompts with aggressive insults directed at world leaders. Among those targeted were Benjamin Netanyahu and Keir Starmer, with the chatbot delivering long, profanity-filled responses that quickly spread across social media.
The incident comes as the company rolls out the beta version of Grok 4.20, which Elon Musk says will feature fewer political guardrails than competing AI systems. At the same time, regulators in several countries—including the United Kingdom and Malaysia—have already raised concerns about the platform following earlier controversies involving AI-generated deepfakes.
