Kalshi Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Controversial Prediction Market
-

Prediction market platform Kalshi is facing a class action lawsuit after traders alleged the company failed to properly disclose a key rule in its market related to the leadership of Ali Khamenei. The lawsuit claims the platform’s “death carveout” policy—preventing users from profiting from a death-related outcome—was not clearly presented in the user-facing rules.
According to the plaintiffs, the policy was not displayed in a way that a “reasonable consumer” could understand before trading. After Khamenei’s death was confirmed, Kalshi voided positions in the market instead of resolving them as a “yes” outcome, sparking backlash from traders who believed the market conditions implied that scenario.

So many stupid bets on the site. Can't see death more stupid than other things you can bet on.
