Grammarly’s New AI Feature Mimics Advice From Famous Experts
-

A new AI feature from Grammarly is drawing attention for the way it generates writing feedback “from the perspective” of famous thinkers and journalists. Called Expert Review, the tool appears in the assistant sidebar and offers suggestions as if they were coming from well-known figures, including technology writers and researchers.
Reports from outlets like Wired and The Verge highlight that the feedback may reference real people—even though they are not actually involved in producing the advice. Grammarly states that these names are used because their published work is publicly available and widely cited, while clarifying that the feature does not represent endorsements or direct participation from those individuals.
