Capcom Reveals Resident Evil 2 Arcade Shooter with Bandai Namco
-

Capcom has unveiled a new arcade version of Resident Evil 2, developed in partnership with Bandai Namco. The upcoming title, called Resident Evil 2: Arcade, reimagines the classic survival-horror game as a light-gun, on-rails shooter inspired by the 2019 remake. The cabinet will first be tested in Japan this month, though it’s still unclear whether it will launch internationally.
The arcade game features cooperative gameplay with Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield as playable characters, while adding immersive hardware features like floor vibration technology and floor jets. Although the concept recalls earlier spin-offs such as Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, this new version uses the visuals and story framework of the 2019 Resident Evil 2, giving fans another way to revisit the iconic horror adventure.
