Battlefield REDSEC Finally Gets Solo Mode Test This Weekend
-

After months of community requests, Battlefield Studios has confirmed that a highly anticipated Battle Royale Solos mode is coming to Battlefield REDSEC for a limited test run from March 6 to 9. Unlike previous Battlefield Labs tests, this one will be open to all players. The new Solo experience removes squad revives and redeploy towers but keeps Second Chance active, while missions and XP progression have been rebalanced specifically for single-player pacing. Vehicles — including tanks — will remain enabled so developers can evaluate their impact on late-game balance.
Alongside the Solo mode test, the studio also shared updates on the future of Battlefield 6 following the launch of Season 2. The upcoming Nightfall update, set for March 17, will introduce a darker map environment that shifts combat toward tighter sightlines and heavier reliance on audio cues, with Nightvision Goggles playing a key role. Progression pacing, Weapon Mastery grind, and the ping system are also receiving refinements based on player feedback, signaling a broader effort to stabilize and improve the game’s long-term experience.
