Despite loosening restrictions on crypto ads, X continues to prohibit sponsored content related to politics, social issues, weapons, drugs, tobacco, alcohol, dating platforms, and health supplements. The new framework reflects a balancing act: reopening monetization opportunities in high-demand sectors like crypto while avoiding regulatory backlash and reputational risk.
