X Reopens the Door to Paid Crypto Promotions — With Major Exceptions

X has officially lifted its ban on paid crypto and gambling promotions, allowing influencers and creators to monetize digital asset content under a new paid partnership labeling system. The move marks a major shift for the platform formerly known as Twitter, long considered the epicenter of crypto conversation and community building.
However, crypto promotions will remain blocked in key jurisdictions including the UK, the European Union, and Australia due to strict financial advertising regulations. Influencers are responsible for ensuring sponsored content is not visible in those regions. According to X’s head of product Nikita Bier, the goal is to support business growth on the platform while maintaining transparency through clearly labeled paid partnerships.
