Read AI Bets on Context-Rich Automation to Scale to 10M Users
-

Unlike some AI tools that rely on model context protocols (MCPs), Read AI says Ada builds a dynamic knowledge graph from meeting data and connected services to deliver more contextual answers.CEO David Shim compared onboarding Ada to training a new employee — the more tools and context you connect, the more capable it becomes. Over time, Ada will take proactive actions, such as reminding users to schedule follow-ups mentioned during meetings.
Currently operating through email, Ada is expected to expand to Slack and Microsoft Teams soon. The launch follows rapid growth for Read AI, which now reports over 5 million monthly active users and 50,000 daily sign-ups. The company has raised more than $81 million and continues expanding its AI suite amid growing competition from other meeting intelligence startups adding workflow automation and knowledge extraction features.
