Cash-for-Throwing Scandal Rocks Marvel Rivals Ranked Play
-

A controversial third-party website called Intlist has sparked outrage within the Marvel Rivals community after offering real cash rewards to players who deliberately sabotage ranked matches. The platform allows users to place “bounties” on specific individuals, paying others to enter their games and intentionally throw matches. The site claims it’s responding to widespread frustration over griefing, arguing that developers have failed to properly punish repeat offenders.
The situation has only intensified criticism toward NetEase and its moderation policies. Many players argue that penalties for throwing — often short temporary bans — are too weak to deter trolls. However, critics say Intlist’s approach only worsens the problem, effectively doubling toxicity in affected matches and dragging innocent teammates into paid sabotage schemes. What was framed as “community justice” is increasingly being viewed as organized harassment.
