Battlefield 6 to Test Vehicle Fixes After Players Call Them ‘Death Traps’
-

Battlefield 6 developer DICE has confirmed that changes are coming to the game’s light vehicles after widespread player complaints that they feel like “death traps.”
Speaking to PC Gamer, DICE hardware producer Kit Eklöf acknowledged the criticism directly.
“We've heard the feedback that vehicles are death traps,” Eklöf said, adding that the team will soon test a package of vehicle improvements through Battlefield Labs — the studio’s controlled testing environment.
The upcoming tweaks will first be rolled out in Battlefield Labs before being pushed to the live game once the team is satisfied with the balance. While specific details about the changes haven’t been revealed, the focus is expected to be on survivability and overall usability of light ground transport vehicles.
Vehicle gameplay has long been a defining pillar of the Battlefield franchise. For many fans, ensuring that vehicles feel impactful — but not frustrating — is critical to the game’s identity.
With player retention becoming an increasing concern, addressing this issue could be a key step toward restoring confidence in the game’s core systems.
