Battlefield 6 Season 2 Brings Big Updates and QoL Improvements
-

EA has revealed the changes coming in Battlefield 6 Season 2, aiming to address player frustrations and revitalize the game. The new season, delayed from January, kicks off later this month and will introduce the Contaminated map, set at Hagental Airbase in Germany, along with a new limited-time mode that adds tactical elements to battles against Pax Armata. Later in the season, players can expect a “high-intensity” map and a dark underground base mode for added variety.
Season 2 also brings key quality-of-life improvements: broader challenge requirements, faster Battle Pass and Career progression, improved soldier movement, smoother vaulting and ladder transitions, and weapon tuning to make guns feel more distinct. Audio cues have also been polished for clarity and reliability in combat. EA is continuing to refine netcode, hit registration, visibility, and ping systems, with the community testing updates through Battlefield Labs.
