WordPress just rolled out a new connector for Anthropic’s Claude, letting site owners share selected back-end data directly with the chatbot. The key word here is control: users decide exactly what data Claude can see, and access can be revoked at any time.

For now, the access is strictly read-only. Claude can’t edit posts, publish content, or touch site settings. But once connected, it can answer questions like traffic summaries, engagement analysis, or which posts spark the most discussion—turning your CMS data into something you can actually talk to.
