Lotus Health AI raises $35M to expand free AI-powered primary care
-

Lotus Health AI, a 24/7 AI-powered primary care provider, has raised $35 million in a Series A round co-led by CRV and Kleiner Perkins, bringing its total funding to $41 million. Launched in May 2024 by KJ Dhaliwal, the startup aims to address inefficiencies in the U.S. healthcare system by combining AI with licensed human oversight.
The platform goes beyond typical AI health chats, offering diagnoses, prescriptions, and specialist referrals, all overseen by board-certified doctors from top institutions including Stanford, Harvard, and UCSF. Lotus operates in all 50 states with HIPAA-compliant systems and malpractice coverage, effectively functioning like a traditional medical practice while leveraging AI to scale care.
