Comic-Con Tightens Rules on AI Art in Art Show

San Diego Comic-Con has also moved to restrict AI-generated content. Previously, the convention allowed AI-created art to be displayed but not sold. After artists raised concerns, organizers revised the rules to ban AI-generated material entirely from the art show.
Glen Wooten, head of the art show, reportedly said the previous rules had acted as a deterrent but added that the growing presence of AI art required stricter language: “NO! Plain and simple.” The move reflects broader tension in creative communities as AI-generated content becomes more prevalent, signaling that other organizations may adopt similar hardline stances this year.
