CZ Backs Binance Leadership, Predicts Bitcoin Supercycle

Changpeng Zhao said Binance has continued to grow without disruption since his departure, pointing to strong leadership and rising performance metrics. He noted the exchange now has more than 300 million users and recorded $34 trillion in trading volume last year, according to Binance executives.

Zhao described himself as a passive shareholder and said the company does not need a “backseat driver.” Any advice he offers today, he said, is shared publicly rather than behind the scenes.

Looking ahead, Zhao also predicted Bitcoin could enter a “supercycle” in 2026, suggesting growing global support for crypto may break the asset’s traditional four-year market cycle.
