France Flags Binance as MiCA Deadline Approaches
-

Binance’s Greek filing follows a warning from France’s Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), which last week listed the exchange among 90 crypto firms registered but not yet licensed under MiCA.
French regulators said affected companies were notified in late 2025 that the country’s MiCA transition period ends on June 30, with non-compliant platforms required to halt operations starting in July.
As the world’s largest centralized crypto exchange by volume—averaging nearly $12 billion in daily trades—Binance’s regulatory status is under close watch. The firm has long argued that MiCA offers much-needed clarity, but the clock is now ticking for full compliance across major EU markets.
