A 13-Year-Old Bitcoin Wallet Suddenly Moves $84 Million
-

A dormant Bitcoin wallet from the Satoshi era has come back to life after 13 years, transferring its entire 909.38 BTC balance — now worth roughly $84.6 million — to a new address. Onchain data from Arkham Intelligence shows the wallet first received Bitcoin in 2013, when BTC traded for less than $7 per coin.
The long-term comparison is striking. An equivalent $6,400 investment into an S&P 500 index fund in 2013 would be worth about $37,000 today, while gold prices have risen roughly 150% over the same period. Bitcoin’s roughly 13,900x increase over 13 years puts the scale of early-holder gains into stark perspective.
