Why Fiat Access Became a Bottleneck for Australian Crypto Users
-

Australia’s crypto users have long struggled with banking restrictions, even beyond Binance’s case. In September, industry executives noted that many exchanges still face limits when interacting with banks, and surveys showed that 58% of users wanted unlimited, easy fiat deposits, while 22% had switched banks just to buy crypto more easily.
That context helps explain why Binance’s restored fiat rails matter. Poblocki said the relaunch followed a careful, phased rollout involving user feedback, strengthened compliance controls and refinements to the experience. Through a new partnership with Bolt Financial Group, Binance aims to provide stable, secure payment infrastructure for hundreds of thousands of local users.
