SEC Delays Decisions on New Crypto ETF Proposals
-

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has extended its decision deadlines on two crypto-related exchange-traded funds, according to filings released Monday. The agency is taking additional time to review proposed rule changes that would allow the listing of the Canary Pudgy Penguins ETF on Cboe BZX and the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF on NYSE Arca.
Both filings fall under the SEC’s 19b-4 review process, which allows the regulator to push its decision window back by up to 45 days. The extensions signal deeper scrutiny around investor protection, market structure, and potential manipulation risks rather than any immediate approval or rejection.
