CryptoQuant Founder Says X Is Punishing Crypto — Not Bots

Ki Young Ju has accused X of suppressing legitimate crypto-related content while failing to address a growing bot problem. In a recent post, he pointed to a massive spike in automated activity tied to the keyword “crypto,” with more than 7.7 million posts generated in a single day — a jump of over 1,200%.

Ju argued that this flood of low-quality, automated content has triggered algorithmic crackdowns that also reduce the reach of real users. As AI-driven bots become more sophisticated, he said, X’s inability to reliably distinguish humans from automation is leading the platform to penalize an entire niche rather than fixing the root cause.
