Ripple Secures UK Regulatory Green Light
-

Ripple has expanded its regulatory footprint in Europe after its UK subsidiary, Ripple Markets UK, received authorization from the Financial Conduct Authority. The approval grants Ripple an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) registration and places the firm under the UK’s Money Laundering Regulations.
The EMI status allows approved firms to provide payment services and issue electronic money, a notable step as Ripple continues building infrastructure around regulated digital payments. The move positions Ripple more firmly within the UK’s evolving crypto framework ahead of broader licensing reforms.
