Bipartisan Support Is the Deciding Factor for the CLARITY Act
-

The fate of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act of 2025 now rests with the United States Senate Banking Committee. According to Alex Thorn, Republicans will need seven to ten Democratic votes in the full Senate to advance the bill — making early bipartisan momentum critical.
Thorn explained that if Republicans can secure four Democratic votes at the committee level, it becomes likely that the same 17 Democrats who supported the GENIUS Act will back the market structure bill. Without that show of unity, the odds of passage in 2026 drop sharply, underscoring how fragile the legislative window is.
