Zcash Developers Move Fast With a New Wallet

Developers behind the privacy-focused cryptocurrency Zcash announced they are already building a new wallet just hours after their high-profile departure from Electric Coin Company. Former ECC CEO Josh Swihart revealed that the team is launching a new Zcash wallet called cashZ, based on the same codebase used for the existing Zashi wallet.

The new wallet is expected to launch within weeks, and users of Zashi will be able to migrate seamlessly. Swihart emphasized that the move does not involve launching a new coin, stating the team remains fully committed to scaling Zcash itself through a newly formed, Zcash-focused company.
