Plaud Expands Beyond Hardware With Desktop AI Meeting Notes
-

Alongside the new device, Plaud also launched a desktop AI notetaking app aimed at competing with tools like Granola, Fathom, and Fireflies. The Mac app detects when a digital meeting starts, captures system audio, and automatically converts conversations into structured AI-generated notes.
Plaud is extending its multimodal notetaking approach to desktop as well, allowing users to combine audio transcripts with typed notes and images. With more than 1.5 million devices sold across four hardware products, the company is now pushing to become a full-stack meeting intelligence platform—bridging in-person conversations and digital meetings under one AI-powered workflow.
