Apple Delays iPhone Air Launch in China 📱

Apple opened pre-orders for iPhone Air on Sept 12, 2025, with global sales set for Sept 19 — but China’s release is postponed, SCMP reports. The company says the launch date there will be announced later.

The iPhone Air is Apple’s thinnest phone yet (5.6 mm) and supports eSIM only, saving internal space. Other new models — iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max — remain on schedule for pre-order.

Apple told Chinese media it is working with regulators to bring iPhone Air to market quickly. All three major carriers — China Unicom, China Mobile, and China Telecom — plan to support eSIM once approvals are granted.
