Google May Soon Let Users Change Their Gmail Address
-

Google appears to be rolling out a long-requested feature: the ability to change your Gmail address without losing access to your account.
According to a Hindi version of Google’s Gmail support page, spotted by Google Pixel Hub and reported by 9to5Google, users will soon be able to switch their existing Gmail address to a new @gmail.com address. The rollout is described as gradual.
If enabled, the old address will continue to function as an alias, allowing users to receive emails and sign into Google services using either address. However, Google limits users from creating additional Gmail addresses tied to the account for 12 months after the change.
