A proposal to bring Aave’s brand assets under DAO control failed, with 55% voting against and 41% abstaining. The vote was fueled by debate over fees from a recent CoW Swap integration, which were allegedly redirected to Aave Labs instead of the DAO.

Some community members criticized the process as rushed and bypassing normal governance procedures. Even Ernesto Boado, former Aave Labs CTO and listed proposal author, said he did not approve submitting the proposal.
