NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) has been tracking Santa Claus since 1955, and this year the experience is more interactive than ever. The tracker now includes AI-powered features in collaboration with OpenAI, letting kids transform selfies into animated elves, generate toy ideas for printable coloring pages, and create personalized holiday stories.
The platform uses 3D visuals built on Cesium’s mapping library and Bing Maps satellite imagery to display Santa’s journey realistically. Families can also watch Santa in action via “Santa Cam” videos and explore the North Pole Village with games, music, and online library content. NORAD’s Santa Tracker is available on noradsanta.org and its app on iOS and Android.
