Let's Talk Scalping: Fast Trades, Fast Hands
Posted by: Bonk | Short trader | Probably already in and out of 3 positions while writing thisYo fam,
Figured I’d drop a quick guide on scalping for those who like their trades short, spicy, and over before their coffee gets cold.Been scalping for a while now — it’s not for the faint of heart or the weak of Wi-Fi. But if you like action, precision, and the occasional adrenaline dump, welcome to the club.
🧠 What Is Scalping?Scalping = taking multiple small trades throughout the day, aiming for tiny gains (think 0.1%–1% per trade). The idea is to stack profits with high-frequency trades rather than holding and hoping.
It’s not glamorous, but it’s real work — like being a sniper, not a shotgunner.
️ Tools You Need:
1min or 5min chart — anything higher and you're basically swing trading. Volume indicators — volume spikes often precede moves. VWAP, EMA 9/21 — my go-to combo for entry/exit clarity. Level 2 / Order Book (if you're serious) — for that edge in entries. A solid broker with low fees and fast execution. Every second matters.
How to Scalp (Bonk Style):
Identify high-volatility pairs – No volume? No party. Wait for a setup – Breakout retest, VWAP bounce, EMA cross, etc. Enter fast – Set limit orders ahead if needed. Set tight SL and TP – Risk:reward is everything. Don’t let 1 loss wipe 5 wins. Get out quick – You’re not dating this coin. You’re speed-dating it.
Pro tip: Pre-plan your exits. Don’t think, just execute. Scalping isn’t about vibes — it’s about precision.
🧊 Stay Cold:Don’t revenge trade. Don’t over-leverage. Don’t let one red candle ruin your day. And never scalp when you’re emotional or distracted. Seriously, even hunger messes with decisions.
🧠 Mental Game:
Scalping is fast-paced and mentally draining. If you’re not sharp, you’ll bleed. I take breaks every 60–90 mins to reset. Water, walk, whatever. Keeps the mind clean.
🧼 Wrap-Up:Scalping is like being a caffeinated ninja with trust issues — quick in, quicker out, no attachments.
It’s not easy money, but it can be consistent money with discipline, tight risk control, and reps.Got any specific scalping setups you like? Drop them below — let’s sharpen each other. 🧵
️ As always: This isn’t financial advice. Just a trader yelling into the void with a few battle scars and a caffeine addiction.
