Sam Altman’s biometric ID project World just launched a major upgrade: a new “super app” built on top of its World ID verification system.
The biggest addition? World Chat — an end-to-end encrypted messenger (Signal-level encryption) with human-verification indicators.
Speech bubbles now show whether the person you’re talking to is verified by the system, aiming to fight AI-generated identity fraud and impersonation.
Altman says the goal remains the same: “prove humanness” in an AI-saturated world.
