Stripe & Paradigm’s Tempo Launches Public Testnet, Opening the Doors to Developers
-

Tempo — the blockchain project backed by Stripe and Paradigm — has officially launched its first public testnet, marking a major step toward its upcoming layer-1 network. The open-source testnet allows anyone to run a node, sync the chain, and experiment with live features, according to Tuesday’s announcement.
Tempo says this phase will focus on scale, reliability and integration, with ongoing onboarding of infrastructure partners and stress-testing under real payment workloads. Early testnet capabilities include dedicated payment lanes, stablecoin-native gas, a built-in stable asset DEX, fast deterministic finality, on-chain payments metadata, and modern wallet signing. -
Opening the testnet will accelerate innovation around Tempo’s ecosystem.
