On an analyst call, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos defended the Warner Bros. takeover, saying the merger is “pro-worker, pro-creator, and pro-growth.” Netflix says HBO will continue operating as it does today, and Warner Bros. will still produce films and series for outside platforms. Still, concerns remain as Netflix could control nearly half the streaming market, raising fears of price hikes and reduced choice for consumers.
