Meta Pushes Mixed Reality Glasses to 2027

Meta’s next-gen mixed reality glasses, codenamed Phoenix, have been delayed from late 2026 to early 2027, according to internal memos seen by Business Insider. The device reportedly adopts a Vision Pro–style form factor with a puck-like power source. Meta leadership says the delay will allow teams to refine quality and build a more sustainable product strategy—especially as the company prepares for up to 30% cuts in its metaverse budget.
