A Maryland man, Minh Phuong Ngoc Vong, was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for helping North Korean-linked IT workers infiltrate U.S. companies. Vong used false credentials to secure remote software jobs for North Korean operatives at 13 American firms, including one with an FAA contract, allowing them to work from abroad undetected. He collected over $970,000, sending part of it to his overseas partners, and will face three years of supervised release.
