Element Six and Orbray announced the successful production of a 50-mm single-crystal synthetic diamond wafer — a major milestone for next-generation semiconductor cooling. The wafers exhibit >2200 W/m·K thermal conductivity, sub-0.5 nm surface roughness and high flatness, making them suitable for bonding with high-power devices like GaN chips.
